* and an update on the rusty bit of grunge posted a couple of days ago. Tracy (lurch) has informed me and I quote '' Now then Richard I can tell you what this is!!!! it is a cattle water feeder. When set up right the cow pushes the tab at the back and water flows into the bowl. Us country girls are a mine of information.''

Thanks Tracy ... We all now feel fully rounded people for that essential piece of farming lore. :-)

I wonder what got caught on the wire.the back ground make the wire stand out very well.

With the harshness and sharp focus of the barbed wire against the softness and brightness of the yellow flowers you have created the perfect constrast. I love it, well done.

Richard I can not tell you how many times I have seen this scene over the past few months, out and about on my walks. You have captured the atmosphere of the countryside wonderfully.
I have so enjoyed your series what a pity it's ended.

Richard Trim: Well it's possibly not the image Of Staffs that the tourist board would project but I think its an aspect of the real Staffs. Glad you liked it Tracy... Yes we'll have to sort out a meet before the years out ... cheers richard
