They take on an entirely new personality after the petals fall off. They are gorgeous both ways.
This could be a scene from The Day Of The Triffids! Superb shot of there lovely flowers.

Have you been twiddling? I think it's catching. And are we going to know everything there is to know about poppies by the end? I seem to remember you saying you were away till the end of August (my heart is already sinking). This image has a rather menacing edge.

They almost don't look real. The angle is very striking.
Very nice angle, I like that a lot. The light on the flowers right is very nice. On the right they are missing some light.
