Papaver. somniferum [opium poppy] #1

At the end of June the small, very small garden in our bolt hole down in Suffolk, was alive with a crop of blousy  poppies in all stage of growth. This series, which continues until the end of the month, created a suggestion of awe and wonder in me, and is one that I'd like to share with you whilst I'm away.

Inspite having no internet access whilst away (yes I can live without it !!!!) I shall no doubt  visit SC from a Suffolk internet  cafe that I have smoked out.

Have a good summer everyone  ... and behave.  ;-)

I'm back towards the end of  August.
