Good choice of pov!
Richard Trim: Cheers Martin. richard
Splendid arcades: another wonderful shot
Richard Trim: Hadn't related cloisters as being arcades. But you are of course absolutely spot on. Just always called them cloisters. richard
A wonderful shot; I like the contrast. Looks like a place where one could spend a really long time photographing details of this building.
Richard Trim: You could indeed MaryB'. richard
This follows yesterday's post brilliantly, Richard. And if you have more in the same vein, it's a treasure!
Richard Trim: Just one or two which i'm unlikely tp post ... but it's a place I shall return to.richard
Splendid. A slice of history. Superb tones and framing.
Richard Trim: Plenty of history here Sujit... and although I lead a secular lifestyle I really like these religious buildings for their architecture. richard
Great processing you are using in this series. Something I wanted to say all along is that this cathedral and its layout (for what I can see in te pictures so far) reminds me a lot of the cathedral in Wells.
Shooting from the shadow into light, you have managed to maintain a lot of detail in the lighted area. Well done.
Richard Trim: Many thanks Louis. Pretty well all the major cathedrals in England have their cloisters. It is for me one of the most magical parts of these building because of the calmnesss and space to be reflective. richard
Good composition, Richard but it draws my attention to those ghastly windows on the opposite roof.
Richard Trim: Thanks Chad ... but in reality I was between a rock and a hard place as far as the shooting angle was concerned. richard
Excellent capture and processing. Keep it up
Richard Trim: Thanks Kunle ... I'll do my best. richard
Ah yes - but yesterdays still has the edge for me. Like the toning, like the foreground silhouette, but like Chad I find the roof line distracting. You should have climbed on someomes shoulders ;o)
Richard Trim: I'm not the tallest of guys ... perhaps I should add a small step ladder to my camera bag. But I wanted to have the sky silhouetting the arches. cheers richard
The arches make a wonderful shape to frame the view. Another great shot.
Ingrid
Richard Trim: I really love the arches ...cheers Ingrid. richard
Another wondeful composition Richard. Great control of the light here, with the details that can be seen in the foreground and the background. Well done. Richard
Richard Trim: Really appreciate your comment Richard. richard
Beautiful!
Richard Trim: Many thanks martie. richard
wonderfull siries of framming shot!
Richard Trim: Thanks gihin'. richard
This shot makes me want to look around the corner to see if there's a joust about to start.
I like the way you have framed the open space, used the buildings shapes and patterns
Another great composition Richard and I really like the almost mono feel about it. Last of a good set of three so well done.
