First of three showing aspects of this East Anglian Cathedral.
As well some of the exterior, draped in green screening having brickwork repairs undertaken, so too was much of the interior. Thus making decent photographs almost impossible to achieve.

The church almost looks like a drawing. Nice one!
Richard Trim: Thanks Martin ... though I never intepreted it as such. richard
Those construction screens are soon going to be as popular as the cranes, Richard, so we might as well start showing them off! This is a splendid case in point! I like the cathedral through the arch.
Richard Trim: I'll let you do the extended series on green scaffolding screens Ginnie
Lovely well composed shot Richard: delightful
Richard Trim: Thanks Chris. richard
Wonderful framing and that blue sky is awesome. -mary beth
Richard Trim: Yes but I'm beginning to have second thoughts over the sky ... perhaps it is a tad too intense. richard
Fabulous framing, Richard, on what looks a fabulous day. I have visited this cathedral and it is very interesting, as is Norwich itself.
Richard Trim: Thanks Chad. My Dad lives in Norwich so i'm a frequent visitor to the interesting areas within the city. richard
You made a decent pic in spite of the repair works. The spire against the blue makes a natural first point of focus and the greens are secondary. Not ideal but secondary.
Interesting that this happens to other people. The impression was growing on me that when I am about to visit a place, they quickly put everything under restoration
Richard Trim: Seems that it's going to be an essential evil for decades to come if we want our important building to survive. cheers richard
Very nicely framed composition Richard. Great lighting and contrast on this blue sky! Richard
Richard Trim: Thanks Richard. Perhaps i've pushed the colour a tad too much. richard
Inventive framing. The colour seems a little on the over-saturated side!
Ingrid
Richard Trim: Point taken Ingrid. Thanks richard
Not sure about the use of colour here Richard, I think it would be stronger in B&W (well there's a surprise). Seriously - the are of blue and the patch of green compete to strogly for the eye.
Richard Trim: I've got a little something ready for posting tomorrow which will probably suit your tastes more. richard
Despite, the building works, you've made a good job of it. Your framing adds interest, and you were to have such a perfect blue sky.
Richard Trim: It was just taken on one of several brilliant days that we had during mid Feb'. cheers Mark . richard
Nice angle on this Richard with excellent framing in the archway. Super sky, did you polarise it?
Richard Trim: Can't rememeber if i Had my polarising lens fitted at the time ... it certainly looks like it but then it was a day of brilliant blue skies. richard
really good framing shot!
Richard Trim: Thanks gihinmandau. richard
excellent framing of what looks a magnificent building well done Richard,if the builders are owt do with it that green netting will be there quite a while
Richard Trim: It is a wonderful building but if you are thinking of visiting it would be worth waiting a few years till the maintenance is complete. But Norwich itself, is an interesting city. richard
Wow! Great composition.
Richard Trim: Thanks Laura. richard
