Cambridge 4/4

Facets of Cambridge taken, euphemistically, from the other end of the telescope.

Bikes are two a penny in Cambridge .... but never 'buy one  knick one free'.

"...half price quality
spare parts..."

Is this a good deal?

I really like the high quality paint job on the blue bike!
Richard Trim: Oxbridge undergraduates ...don't have basic paint skills it seems
3/4 is my fav of the series... nothing competes with a bear. : )
Richard Trim: Not even humans ... when those bears are rading your trash bins.
I want full price quality.
Richard Trim: You get what you pay for
colorful street capture
Richard Trim: Yes indeed.

Nothing would surprise me Richard
Richard Trim: You're too much of an old sage chris and obviously long in the tooth.

At first I thought we are in Nederland - the bikes prefer to be induviduals like their English owners, too. It's a pity that I cannot read what has been printed on the papers decorating the fence -offers of goods, charity fairs?
Richard Trim: You might notice the poster advertising the Vermeer exhibition which was held at the FitzWilliam Museum. It was one of the main reasons to go to Cambridge that day.
Unique way to advertise.
Richard Trim: Done before I'm sure Mary. After all, what can go round will go round.

Yes, I see the milkmaiden, I saw the original in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam -this must have been a wonderful exhibition!
Richard Trim: There were just four of his quite remarkable paintings amongst the thirty or so in the whole exhibition. The Pieter de Hooch 'Courtyard of a Delft house' was also a real highlight for me.
I failed my first driving test by not giving a wide enough berth to cyclists, in Mill Road, at 9.30 in the morning, I ask you!
Richard Trim: So it was you who knocked me off my bike then Brian . ;-)
A cheap way to adverise Richard!
Wot's them ve-hickles doing in a pedestrian zone, then?
Laughed at Brian's comment, my experience of Cambridge is that most of the bikes are ridden on the pavements, pedestrians are the endangered species smile
