Well actually this isn't a conventional beach ... it's the edge of a tidal creek adjacent to the main beach.

Excellent composition and crop. Excellent catch of the concentric waves as well. Likey.
Richard Trim: Thanks Louis. It was the concentric ring of ripples that really attracted me to this image in the first place. I'm pleased the young lad was rather tentative with his wading. cheers richard
I like the bold composition of this. The contrast of the colours and the light is beautiful.
Ingrid
Richard Trim: I just loved the blue ... so didn't do any bw conversion. Thanks Ingrid. richard
A total DITTO to Louis and Ingrid! Concentric circles, color, reflection, composition, crop, letterbox format! I love it all, Richard.
Richard Trim: That's a real long list of positives Ginnie ... many thanks. richard
Everything has been said Richard. I just love it. A likey for me. Richard.
Richard Trim: Many thanks Richard. richard
I reallly do like this Richard - all that water gives it a sense of space
Richard Trim: Thanks Chris. I did wonder about the huge empty expanse of water. But with the ripples I think I've pulled it off ;-) richard
I love the unconventional composition, making the most of those wonderful concentric circles. (:o)
Richard Trim: Roz, I was wondering about the composition ....but I thought it was worth testing the waters with my big toe ;-)richard
Very nice shot. The boy looks so tiny in the large pool of water. Nice reflection. The way you captured him, he looks interested in something below the surface of the water. Looks like a fun thig to do...wading in his boots...exploring.
Richard Trim: The image certainly has some scale to it. Thanks Laura. richard
Excellent picture
I like the waves, composition and the reflection.
Richard Trim: Thanks Magnus. richard
Gorgeous blue Richard, (my favourite colour) and the lad is in just the right place and looks a bit mischevious.
Richard Trim: Hey Brian .... blue is pretty well my favourite colour as well... I think the lad was making his first steps into the exploration of the big wide world. cheers richard
oh wow Richard from the thumbnail i thought pane of glass lol, how wrong could i be, stunning shot, now that does deserve to be framed
Richard Trim: Ha Tim ... yes the thumb doesn't give any clues away. Glad you liked it. richard
Very nicely composed. The circular waves expanding into all that empty space work really well.
Richard Trim: Thanks Martin... yes I agree with your comment about the empty space. It was something I gave quite a bit of thought to. cheers richard
A great shot Richard. Love the unconventional balance and composition. Evening(?) light and saturated colours make it glow with life.
Richard Trim: Yes creating this unorthodox composition was a bit scary for me. I can't specificaly remember the time of day ... but it was possibly late afternoon (ish). Thanks Ron. richard
This is an exhibition picture Richard. Get a big print done!
Richard Trim: Is that your order coming my way Bill ;-) richard
This is a very nice capture, love the way you cropped it, the circles in the water make this one perfect!
Richard Trim: I think the ripples are the essential ingredient Astrid. richard
Brilliant. love it. That really is excellent. The extent of the ripples add great depth and feeling.
Richard Trim: Many thanks Dave. Hope you are feeling on the mend after your medical experiences. richard
Circles do it for me too - perfect for skimming flat stones ;o)
Richard Trim: My record is seven bounces ... but that was back in the 6O's. Thanks Mike. richard
