photoblog image The other side of a busy bank holiday beach 1/7

The other side of a busy bank holiday beach 1/7

It is very rare for me, these days,  to spend my time on a beach during the summer Bank Holiday weekend. But needs must, with the gate-crashing of our grandchildren on us. I managed to sneak away from the civil engineering site of sand castle building for half an hour and discovered some odds and ends that, perhaps, don't quite fit in to the notion of a Bank Holiday beach.

Looks a bit cool, Richard, but evidence exists of fun being had.
I like everything in this frame!
Flying a kite on the beach like that, Richard, is totally my idea of a holiday. We did it with our kids in California many times while they were growing up! The colors are great.

Look at her lovely lissom form as she stretches her athletic body.

Oh - of course you have..
Richard Trim: Christopher Phillips ... Surely you have recognized the compositional brilliance expressed with the mirroring of the sail boat and the kite.

We have lift off - like the echo of the sails on the horizon.
Looks like bank holiday weather to me comrade

Clever of you to photoshop in the sailing craft in the background

"..the notion of a Bank Holiday beach". What,, such as huddling behind a windbreak or else sheltering under the pier? wink Looks top be the sort of kite which spirals out of control and crashes into someone's head - all good fun smile
A fine pass time kiting
I guessed this was a Bank Holiday without reading the title just by the winter warmers everybody is wearing. Actually a very good photo Richard.

I would imagine you are more of a tunnel building man comrade. Far more interesting and mysterious.
